(See Action 1) Lehman for Godfrey briefed on the intelligence support for DD/I informed the Director of the progress made in achieving correlation between Agency and DIA methodology of computing cost figures for Soviet military aid to North Vietnam. DD/S noted a request last Friday for one hundred Agency per- sonnel to attend the reception for the Vice President at the White House this morning. The Director passed the DD/S a telegram from a student at the University of Wisconsin and gave guidance on a reply. In this connection, DD/S noted that this week will be one of student protest all over the U. S. Bross briefed the Director on a telephone conversation with Tom Braden concerning an article on the Agency which he has pre- pared for publication in the Saturday Evening Post. The Director asked Bross to keep him informed in case personal action on the part of the Director is indicated. DD/P called attention to a cable from Ambassador Sullivan. DDCI drew attention to a cable from our Embassy in Bonn on disarmament matters. The Director said that he will be disseminating a cable from COS, Saigon.
