Lehman for Godfrey said that there is nothing further on the air engagement with the Chinese and that there has been no Chinese press reaction. The Director asked that OCI keep an eye on all such incidents. Lehman passed the Director a memorandum on the situation in China and discussed the latest developments there. 25 Warner reminded the Director that he is scheduled to appear before the Rivers committee tomorrow at 1100 and said that his material should be ready in the early afternoon. 25 DD/P opined that it might be worthwhile to undertake a study on Soviet arms offers to various African countries. In reply to a question DD/S&T said that he will obtain more details for the DDCI on coordination of Agency operations with the 7th Fleet.
