Morning Meeting of 23 August 1967
Abbot Smith stated that the coordination process for NIE 14-3
is nearing completion. There was some discussion of the "numbers"
problem encountered in preparing this Estimate.
Warner reported that he talked to Senator Symington regarding
Senator Thurmond's letter and said that the Director wants to discuss
this matter with the DDCI.
DD/S&T noted that the second bucket of the CORONA mission
was recovered.
DD/S&T said that the NRO ExCom meeting scheduled for today
will probably be held.

DDCI discussed the performance of the I

DDCI reported that all proposals submitted to the 303 Committee
were approved at yesterday's meeting. He noted that there was some
discussion regarding the elections in South Vietnam.
DDCI asked about a press report from Algeria regarding the
capture of an aircraft registered in the United States. DD/P said
that there is no Agency connection.
