DD/I told the Director that Senators Mundt and Young have re- quested a tour of NPIC next week. The Director agreed. DD/I informed the Director of a new study by OSR on Soviet general purpose forces. The Director asked that this paper be further discussed with ONE prior to publication. Godfrey reported that the State Department has requested daily wrap-ups of preparations for the 20-21 October demonstration. The first report will be published early next week. Godfrey passed the Director a memorandum on Nasser's current position. Kent noted that) Ihas accepted a consultantship with the BNE and will attend the upcoming meeting at Princeton. DD/S reported that Ambassador Belcher is in town for final coordination of the arrangement which has been worked out with the Cypriot government on our presence tnere. DD/S&T told the Director about his meeting last night with 25X1 25X1 DD/P noted that Ambassador Goldberg has agreed to a twenty- four -hour delay on the report which he requested from the Agency. DD/P said that about twenty overseas cities will be involved in the 20-21 October demonstration. DD/P noted a cable indicating that the Cubans are on a military alert and informed the Director of a report 25X1 alleging that Castro plans to attack Guantanamo. The Director noted that no action has been taken on the RFE/RL funding problem. The Director reported on yesterday's NSC Meeting, which was called to discuss the P.
