The Director gave guidance on the wording of the conclu- sions and asked that it be given general dissemination. Abbot Smith said that the RFE paper requested by the Director will be ready today. The Director asked DD/S&T whether his advisory board has met yet. DD/S&T replied in the negative but said that arrangements are in train. (At this point the Director left for the Hill to meet with Mahon. -nitt&e. DDCI assumed the chair. ) Godfrey reported on the Phuc Yen strike. DD/S noted the possibility of demonstrations in connection with the Agency's recruiting activities today through Thursday. Carver discussed the Lower House elections in South Vietnam and said that he will be meeting with Secretary McNamara at 1130 this morning. DDCI asked Godfrey for a copy of the China paper prepared for the Director by OCI yesterday. DD/P discussed the Bolivian film clip on Che Guevara. Executive Director suggested that we should have a copy, and the DD/I said that he will take care of this. DDCI asked Godfrey to look into whether the Soviet military delegation arrived in Cairo before or after the attack on the Israeli destroyer. Abbot Smith said that he has received the Vice President's itin- erary but that, unless requested, he does not intend to undertake any further studies on security conditions in the areas to be visited beyond the paper on Saigon which has already been disseminated.
