DD/I briefed on new developments arising from the conference
on enemy strength figures.

Lehman for Godfrey briefly discussed the situation in Sierra
Leone. He noted that OCI is preparing a memorandum on Czechoslo-
vakia in response to the Director's request.
D/ONE reported that both DIA and Army may raise some questions
at USIB today regarding the new procedures for PNIOs.
Carver reported that
Katzenbach yesterday went very well.
meeting with Under Secretary
DD/S&T informed that the most recently scheduled SR-71 mission
aborted because of a technical failure.
DD/S&T noted that there was a
launch yesterday.

far of the TOD exercise.
Goodwin advised that Life magazine is preparing to publish two
articles on "l'affaire de Vosjoly. "
