1. Mr. McCone attended a luncheon from 12:45 to 1:45, hosted
by the Secretary of Commerce is the Secretary's dining room on
Tuesday, 24 July.
2. Members of the Secretary's staff introduced themselves and
briefly identified their functions.

3. The Secretary of Commerce introduced the DCI, who spoke
for about i5 minutes on the cooperation between the Agency and the
Department of Commerce on items of mutual interest. He then
desczibed in outline the organization of the intelligence community
and CIA with particular reference to his role as DCI. He described
briefly the current intelligence appraisal of the situations in Berlin,
China, Southeast Asia, sad Cuba.
