Kissinger Attached are the Vietnam indicators for the week ending 9 May. As Mr. Carver ex- plained in his telephone conversation with you on 11 May, we have modified the format and coloring of the graphs and tables in an effort to make them easier to read and in- terpret at a glance. On the summary graphs, the '68 data is subordinated into the back- ground, the '69 data shown with a line, and the 1970, or current, data highlighted by summary bars. This current data is ampli- fied with similar bars on the larger graphs. If the President likes this mode of presen- tation, we will stick with it. If not, we will make further revisions.
