Name: George A. Carver, Jr.
DOB/POB: 14 January 1930, Louisville, Kentucky
Background. Childhood largely spent in China, Mr. Carver's Father
was head of the English Department in the University
of Shanghai.
Education: Secondary: The Peddie School, Hightstown, New
Jersey, 1942 - 1946 (Valedictorian)
Undergraduate: Yale University, New 1946 - 1950, Bachelor of Arts Haven, Connecticut,
(1950). Member Phi Beta
Kappa, graduated magna cum laude "with honors with
exceptional distinction in philosophy. "
Graduate: Oxford University (Balliol College),
Oxford, England, 1950 - 1953, 1961 - 1962
Woodrow Wilson Fellow, Fulbright Scholar
Area of Concentration: Political Theory
Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (D. Phil. )
Career: Military! U. S. Army, 1954 - 1956
