Defense
During my 8 July session with the Secretary of
Defense, Dr. Schlesinger on his own initiative and quite
spontaneously brought up your 10 April memorandum entitled
"Detente: The View from the Kremlin," which I had given
him at one of our earlier sessions. He brought it up
primarily to tell me that he had read it and considered
it a first-class piece of work. He referred to it,
incidentally, as that very good
