The sixth annual National Capital Service of
Thanksgiving -- sponsored by the Council of Churches
National Capital Area and Church World Service, National,
Council of Churches -- will be held at the Washington.-'
Cathedral on Sunday afternoon, November 22, from four-,
to five o'clock.
Canon Bryan Green, Birmingham, England, one of the
world's noted preachers, will be the principal speaker.
This service will launch the nation-wide Thanks-
giving Week emphasis on the "Share Our Surplus" program of
Protestant and Eastern Orthodox Churches in America, through
which many millions in need overseas are aided from our
national commodity abundance.
We would like to extend a cordial invitation to
you to attend this Service of Thanksgiving. The President
and Mrs. Eisenhower also have been invited to worship with
us in gratitude to God.
Sincerely yours,
Clarence T. Nelson
President

RUX
Your speech of April 8 is the kind
of thing that has badly needed saying the last few
years. While one might be inclined to quarrel
with some figures, this becomes relatively unim-
portant because of the perspective you give to the
Soviet threat. At the risk of seeming presumptu-
ous, I want to offer my congratulations for a fine
job.
Respectfully yours,
,~~ X-aep-1
