Subject: Establishment of a Joint Facility for
Central Inter-Service Processing and
Dissemination of Noncommunications
Electronic Intercept Material.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff have directed the estab-
lishment, in the Washington area, of the Joint Electronics
Analysis Group (JEAG) as a part of an over-all plan to im-
prove the analysis and dissemination of noncommunications
electronic intercept material. The Joint Chiefs of Staff
recognize the mutual benefits that can be derived from a
full cooperative effort with other agencies having an in-
terest in this field. Accordingly, the Joint Chiefs of
Staff invite technical assistance and collaboration by your
respective agencies in JEAG with such personnel as you deem
appropriate. The director of this group will effect full
collaboration with all interested agencies.
