THE INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED STUDY
October 10, 1951
Lieutenant General Walter Bedell Smith
Director, Central Intelligence Agency
Washington 25, D. C.
As you know, had talks with
Mr. Wismer, Mr. Dulles, and concerning
some of the matters I had in m when &I wrote you two or
three weeks ago requesting an interview.
These talks have led me to believe that it
is perhaps even more important than it formerly was that
I see you sometime in the reasonably near future. I am
hoping that your trip to Princeton will materialize and
that you will include in it a visit with me for luncheon
or otherwise.
Quite aside from official business, it would
be a great pleasure to me to see you.
Sincerely yours,
now
