SUBJECT: Interim `approval of the "Packet'.
Enclosed are two copies of a proposed interim
approval of the CIA "Packet" amended in accordance with
the agreement reached at the PSB luncheon held on May 29.
In order to show precisely what changes were made a
marked copy of the State Department draft (the basic
document used) is also enclosed.
You will note that the main changes are:
1. The parenthesis in old paragraph 2a was
eliminated and a new sentence substituted.
2. Old paragraph 2b was deleted as the new
sentence included in old 2a takes its place.
3. All references to OPC were deleted.
If the enclosed interim approval accurately reflects
your understanding of the agreement reached, would you
kindly sign and return one of the enclosed copies.
