Dulles Director of Central Intelligence 2430 E. Street Washington, D. C. My dear Mr. Dulles: I am writing you on behalf of the leading civic men and women of Nashville who comprise the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army. Each year the leading citizenry of Nashville meet with the Advisory Board members who are interested in the spiritual development of the community, for an Annual Meeting, at which time a report of progress is given and the citizens are urged through united efforts to do more for the spiritual upliftment of the community. On behalf of the civic leaders an invitation is extended to you to be the guest speaker at The Salvation Army Annual Meeting which will be held the latter part of January or early part of February, on a week night at your convenience. We will be happy to pay your traveling expenses. Nashville has never had the opportunity to see and hear you and would be greatly honored by your presence. We would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest con- venience. God bless you for what you are doing for the nation. Kind personal regards. Remember the Army in your will.
