On Thursday,. June sixteenth at ten-thirty
o'clock in the morning we will hold our sixty-ninth
annual Commencement at Convention Hall at which time
we will confer honorary degrees on several outstand-
ing people, including Vice President Nixon.
We would like very much to have you, as an
honorary alumnus, march in the academic procession and
help us to honor Mr. Nixon.
I am planning to ask possibly a dozen of our
most distinguished honorary degree recipients if they
would not care to join us this year and you certainly
would be most welcome.
I am enclosing a form for an academic cos-
tume, which we will order for you. If you find it
possible to attend will you please fill in the form
and return it to me.
As you may recall - we have a luncheon
following the ceremonies at The Barclay and we do hope
you and your wife will be able to join us.
If your wife comes with you please bring her
to the Meeting Room, where she will join Mrs. Johnson
and sit with her in the reserved seat section. The
Meeting Room is the place where we assemble at ten o'clock
in order to have ample time to form the academic procession.
