Study "CIA Honor Awards Board" dated 29 January 1954
1. As directed, the Honor Awards board has reconsidered its
proposed names for additional Agency decorations. The names shown
below are forwarded for your approval and have been "looted to agree
in general with terms that are familiar to many members of the Agency.
In addition to a recommended series of names, the Board is also sub-
mitting two alternate series for your cansiderc.tin. These names have
been presented informally to the Deputy Director who finds the presently
recommended series acceptable to him. The table below shows the names
originally proposed in the staff study of 29 January, the boards a first
choice for names to replace those originally selected, as well as
alternate choices for ccn sideratian in the event that the Board's
recommended choice is deemed inappropriate.
