Throughout this yoar's curriculum at the Air War College we ll~a,~rl~
received current intelligence presentations pertaining to the ene~~l:.
area of the study i.n which we were engaged. These presentations I~-rE3
assisted us in adding realism to such studies as the ones corzcern~:

In addition, we have received many lectures from State Depart~~ent
personnel concerning current political affairs.
Our twelfth study is entitled "Development of Future Colxcept??> :~l~ci
Strategy for Requirements Planning." In it we intend to project au:4?
?thoughts four to six years in the future, and as a basis we I>~~ed soT~ru=
appraisals of the probable trends of Soviet actions both in fYwe pal_ti:=wca.1.
and technical fields. We are interested 3n their research arz det?c:_~c>_~~-
ment programs and their expected production capacity; its fact, we ~~*~:
looking for any informations we can get which is liltely to affect thc3 con-
~.uct of a future war.
Tn considering the problem and how best to approach its ~olu't,a.otl.
we felt that you would be the ideal person to deliver a lectux?e to ~*tle:
Air War College students on the trends or indications of fututr'e Sovic,t
actions and intent. We have tentatively scheduled the morni.r~ of '~' ~.~>ril

send an officer from the Air War College faculty to brief you i'urtl~t~l~ an
the purpose and coverage of the study and to arrange the details of t-ou-r

It would be a pleasure to have you visit the 1Lir University acct
participate in our educational program.
