MEMORANDUM FOR EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS/
Subject: Autographed Photo
1. As you probably know, Lieutenant General George
M. Seignious, II, USA, the incumbent Director of the
Joint Staff, is retiring on 30 June 1974, and will
become the President of The Citadel in Charleston,
South Carolina.
2. As an inspiration to the young. cadets at The
Citadel, General Seignious would like to display
photographs of. great Americans he has been associated
with and admired throughout the years. Needless to
say, your boss is one of those.
3. If not too much trouble, I wonder if you could
send me a picture of your boss, suitably autographed
to General Seignious. We would, of course, prefer a
color photo if such is available.
