Enclosed is a copy of the Strategic Studies Center's most recent
publication, Marshal Sokolovskiy's Soviet Military Strategy, 3rd
edition. The translation and commentary are by Harriet Fast Scott,
a former full-time member of our staff, and now a consultant to the
SSC.
This edition of Sokolovskiy's famous work is unusual in that it
allows the reader to identify the changes in Soviet strategy that took
place over the period of time from the first edition to the third.
Vertical lines are employed in the margins of the text to indicate
material added or changed in the second and third editions (a double
line for the second edition and a triple line for the third).
[ hope this new edition of Sokolovskiy will be of interest and
value to you.
