Hallmark Secretary to the President Raypak, Inc. 31111 Agoura Road Westlake Village, Calif. 91361 Dear Mrs. Hallmark: Many thanks for your kind words of support. It is indeed reassuring to know that the majority of Americans see the need for an effective intelligence service. I greatly appreciate your taking the time to express your confidence in us. Faithfully, Vernon A. Walters Lieutenant General, USA Approved For Release 2006/10/19: CIA-RDP80ROl731 8001900050012-8 Approved For Release 2006/10/19: CIA-RDP80RO1731 ROO190005001 8-- RAYPAK, INC. ? 31111 AGOURA ROAD, WESTLAKE VILLAGE CALIFORNIA 91361 ? (213) 889-1500 ? TELEX: 67-3308 18 September 1975 Lt. Gen. Vernon A. Walters Deputy Director Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D. C. 20013 Having just read the September Issue of Washington Report and a synopsis of your luncheon speech before the American Security Council, I would like to make the following comments: Please know, sir, that there are millions of Americans like myself, who are behind you and the CIA. We are sick to death of having to stand by, watching our government become a hotbed for the Red vermin who are determined to do us in. As a mother of two sons, one who enlisted in the Army because he believes every young man should, I have brought my boys up to be proud of their heritage, enjoy life without drugs, and be damned good Americans. Regardless of how much adverse publicity your Director Colby or yourself may be subjected to, just remember that more of us believe in what you are doing than you might imagine. Sincerely yours, S. Hallmark (Mrs.) Secretary to the President Approved For Release 2006/1.0/19: CIA-RDP80ROl731 8001900050012-8
