we have been reviewing your excellent qualifications in
light of an appropriate opportunity to make use of your
kind offer to be of service to us.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to identify a
suitable opening commensurate with your background and
experience. This is no reflection on your abilities, but is
due to the fact that our needs are generally limited to
entrance-level career trainees at this time.
Your interest in being of service to this Agency is
appreciated and I am sorry the outcome of our review was
not favorable. It is our sincere hope that you will find a
field of endeavor that will be both challenging and interesting.

your resume. I enjoyed your visit and regret that it had to
be no short. I look forward to getting together with you and
again for a longer visit.

Director of Personnel who will have your excellent
qualifications reviewed by appropriate Agency officials in

We returned home early last week, stopping off en-
route for a couple of short visits with friends in Virginia
STAT and with in South Carolina - and back now
in Central Florida's almost insupportable heat (mid and
high 90's, continuously).
It was wonderful seeing you and we greatly appreciate
your having made even a short visit possible in the midst
of your understandably tight schedule - especially on the
e"dia do soldado"'o
With regard to the interest I mentioned to you, of
STAT placing my ii experience and contacts at the service
of the Agency, attached is my resume, as you suggested.
I am truly stagnating in retirement inactivity, Dick,
especially so because I know I have still a lot of good
mileage to deliver. If my age should raise a question, re-
