Dear General Er skine:
on several occasions we have discussed the undated memo-
randum on deficiencies in intelligence collection addressed to the
Deputy Secretary of Defense by Major General R. C. Partridge.
acting for the SIC, which you submitted to me. We have taken
account of the requirements noted in this memorandum which con-
form generally to our own idea as to the nature of our priority
targets.
We would be glad, if you so desire, to circulate copies of
the memorandum to the members of the IAC, and put it upon the
agenda for discussion. However, since this is an internal memo-
randum from General Partridge to the Deputy Secretary of Defense,
we did not wish to take this action unless it had your concurrence.
Kindly let me know at your convenience whether you concur in this
suggestion.
