Next month the National Security Commission of The
.~-merican Legion gill .hold its annual meeting in Washington, #f.G.
At that time it gill study our National Security Program ar~d ~d 11
recommend to The American Legion such changes as current world
conditions mandate.,.. To this important meeting Re are inviting cey
people in our natibnal'security structure to bring us infarmatian
and recomaeendations.
Because of pour intimate association with the Intell:-??
genre structure of thin Nation and its vital importance to our.
national security, we -would like for you to meet with us at 1~s.3o th~~
afternoon of January- -26th, We would like for you to ciiaeu.ss fcir
approximately thirty minutes the general plans and organization of
the Central Intellige=nce .Agency and. what we of The American Legion
can do to assist in providing the tools needed for an adequate
Intelligence Agency, This discussion is to be follo~red by a short
question and ans~rer period.
Our ;cmtmisaion will hold its meetings in the Washing-
ton Hotel, located at Fif'te~enth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. In
addition to the members of the National Security Commission we will
have in attendance at Chia closed meeting the Chairman of the Se^urir.,
