to you, I am enclosing an. unclassified paper discussing the
functions and respcrsibilities of the Central Intelli .erce
Agency. The duties of the Agency as prescribed by Sect'cn 1(1
of the National Security Act will be found on pages four and
five of the enclosed paper.
