Dear General Eisenhower:
The President has instructed me to provide you
with Information on the world situation similar to
that which he receipt from me personally each !`rider
morning. I suggest that the substance of these brief-
ings in condensed form be bound in a folder, together
with very short suv~*sriee of current intelligence
estimates, and delivered to you weekly by an officer
of this Agenqy*. The reading time should not exceed
fifteen minutes.
After you have read and aresr questions which occur
to you have been answered, the officer can return the
folder to me, since its contents are of a classified
nature and must "uy Jar remain in the custody of an
officer who is proper cleared. While you persona:-ly
are cleared for all cate Tories of information, you
should not be k urdenet with the responsibility of so_
curing documents of this nature.
If the above is satisfactory, please ask
to make up a schedule of dates and places of deliveaq
which will be most convenient to you.
