Dear Mr. Heydenburk;
General Smith has asked me to acknowledge your letter
of 17 August and thank you for reminding us of the prophecy
of Ezekiel as contained in Chapters 38 and 39.
I am personally inclined to consider these Chapters
simply as a general apocalyptic prophecy and not to relate
them to specific historical events. Whatever the pertinence
of this prophecy to the present world situation, however, I
want to assure you that this Source and all others are care-
fully considered by those with the responsibility for this
country's security.
