1. Reference memorandum enclosed a copy of a letter of
17 April from Ambassador Butterworth to Mr. Dulles in behalf
of subject, currently
2. Similar letters from Ambassador Butterworth have
been received by Mr. Wisner and f the
CIA recruiting staff. The latter has written direct to
inquiring as to the time of his prospective visit to
Washington. In the meantime we have canvassed the divisions
of OPC for possible interest. Both our Far East and Western
Europe Divisions wish to interview lupon his arrival
in Washington. I Iwho now o se file on this
case, has been notified of our interest in interviewing the
subject.
