Essential portions of the operations of this agency have been
based on the utilisation of equipment. We considered this
sufficiently important to provIA0 special security clearances for
certain of your representatives to some into the agency and'assist
us in developing certain systems t0WOB the utilisation of your
machines. Speed of reproduction azediie?i.nation of intelligence
is the heart of our operation, and o by using appropriate
machine equipment for certain operati*04 phases we meet the
great responsibilities placed upon us by Coss and the National
Security Council in the interests of national security.
We have carefully considered our requirements and have used
every precaution to avoid requesting equipment in excess of our
actual requirements. In view of our mission., I would greatly
appreciate your personal assistance IS Insuring the delivery of
the equipment on the dates specified in our order.
