Dear Admiral Hillenkoetter,
Thank you very much for your kind letter of the
17th instant in which you enclosed a Form 57. 1 have completed
this Form and I am enclosing it with this letter.
STAT
Concerning several of the questions in Form 57 I
have found that my history is such that some of the queries are
not applicable or are worded so- that I should have difficulty
answering them briefly as intended. This is especially true
regarding Question, 17 pertaining to Military Experience as I
served throughout the war with the R.C.A.F. I have therefore
supplemented Form, 57 with the pertinent details of my record,
listing this informer.ion under the appropriate question number
and sub-section. I trust that this will be satisfactory.
It is my most sincere hope that my experience and
qualifications will measure up to the high standards which I am
sure the Central Intelligence Agency demands of those wishing to
enter this service as novi1ates and who hope to make this work
a career and yet be of useful service.
