Mr. Paul Martin, representative for Gannett newspapers
In Washington, called Thursday morn! %; to say that the
Department of Defense has arranged a tour for the visiting
editors on Tuesday which completely fills the day. He, there-
fore,asks that you and Mr. Jackson join this group at a dinner
for Ir. John Foster Dulles on Monday evening, 18 December, in
the Council Room of the Statler Hotel. Cocktails will be
served at 700 PM; the dingier at 700.
They propose to hold a round table conference following
the dinner. All discussions will be off-the-record. The
purpose of this is allegedly so that the editors will
basis for "sound editorialisingo.
