MEMDRANDUM FOR: DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE

SUBJECT : Department of Defense Comments on "A Strategic
Concept for a National Psychological Program,"
(PSB D-31)
1. At its 15th meeting on 11 September 1952, the Board agreed
that the subject paper is approved as soon as the comments of the
Department of Defense are received by the Director and agreed to
by the Department of State and the Central Intelligence Agency.
2. In a memorandum of 14 October 1952 (Tab A) the Director
of the Psychological Strategy Board submits the comments of the
Department of Defense with the request that he be informed if these
comments are acceptable to the Department of State and the Director
of Central Intelligence.
3. The comments of the Department of Defense have been reviewed
by this staff and have been interpolated at the proper places in the
PSB draft (Tab B) with blue pencil and separate insert on pages 7-9.
These comments are in the nature of reserve caveats and editorial
refinements, without substantive amendment of the nnnAr Pwn nt f'nr
