1. (Unclassified - NDL) LIAISON Per her earlier request, 1
sent to Beth Franklin, in the office of Representative Trent Lott(R. , Miss. ),
a photograph of the statute of Nathan hale located in the front of the Agency's
Headquarters building. The photograph was requested for a constituent
claiming to be a first cousin twice removed of Nathan Hale. 'Flze photograph
was furnished by the Office of Public Affairs.
2. (Unclassified - NDL) LIAISON Per his earlier request, I
sent to Jeff Ferguson, on the staff of Senator Donald W. Rcigle (D. , Mich. ),
three copies of the National Basic Intelligence Factbook.
3. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Received a call from
Bruce Heyman, in. the office of Representative Charles W. Whalen (R. , Ohio),
who requested a copy of "The International Energy Situation: Outlook to 1985. "
I told him I would forward a copy to him.
4. (Unclassified -? RJW) LEGISLATION Called the Democratic
Policy Committee to determine if any floor action has been scheduled on
S. 1264, the "Federal Acquisition Act of 1977. " No future floor action
has been scheduled to date.
5. (Unclassified - RJW) LEGISLATION Called the Subcommittee
on Civil and Constitutional Rights of the House Judiciary Committee to
check on the status of H. R. 10400, an "FBI Charter" bill. I was informed
that the bill is pending in Subcommittee. The Subcommittee plans to hold
one more clay of hearings but no date has ,yet been set.
6. (Unclassified - RJW) LEGISLATION Called the Senate
Committee on Governmental Affairs to check on the status of S. 2596,
a "Presidential Papers" bill. The bill is pending with nothing scheduled.
