This branch was at the height of its activity during the 1933?-31a period
when anti-Semitism wae~openly manifested in Poland. ~rhe branch was
then expanded into a bureau. At this time~the Comrunist Warty cancen~
trated on the Jc~vlish ghettos in Poland9 especially in the Lvov area,
where it was hi hly successful in recruiting new adherents. The Comnui~i.st--
sponsored AJAP ~Allgemeine Yiddische Arbeits Partei) was organized as
a result of .these new recruitments.
