7. Morale is poor. People are trying to strike to get higher wages. In the end
two payments. on account were made to them and the situation has quieted down.
Some workers even injure their hands so as to be considered unfit for work. The
majority of miners and workers eat at the Horni Slavkov canteen; meals are quite
decent. Employees live mostly in several huts belonging to the Inspectorate.
Every day there are political education lectures, organized for CSM (Union of
Czechoslov
