During the first half of 1961 an accident occurred at the depot in which two persons were killed and four others wounded. Two civilians were allegedly using steel brushes for cleaning, a spark was struck, and a conventional shell exploded. A small fire resulted, but it did not spread owing to the thick walls which separate the ammunition workshops from each other. 6. In the Mozhaysk area there is another, separate depot, which is subordinate to the Ammunition Supply Directorate of the Chief Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Antiaircraft Defense (USB GRAU PVO).
