Construction of this canal has ceased after reachina, GYON 25X1
about 25 kms Southeast of DUNGARAKZTI. its width is now about 12 metres
which is only half of the planned width. it is now the intention to
use this water for irrigation purposes by the construction of irrigation
canals.
2. SIO Canal
This is navigable for barges and small steam boats. It is
21. metres in width and the depth is about 3 metres. There is a lock
at SD; ,OA?TO d:.'YA
3. TISZA diver Canal
(a) This commences at TLTZALOK where a Power Station, said to
be one of the largest in hungar,y, is

This canal project appears to be sor hat disappointing due to a lack
of water. The width is 18 - 20 metres anc1. the depth about 2 metres.
it was planned for barge traffic but so far as is known there is none at
present. If it does not become possible to use_ it for navigation,
the :.Irrigation authorities are hoping to make use of it.
