-which now has over 20,000 inhabitants. The growth of the town was asinly due to
the Stalin Works at Zaluzi near Most and the surrounding nines. Tritvinov, which
has been a district center since 1050, is divided into six sectors:
Litvinov I - originally Horni Litvinov.
Litvinov II -originally Dolni Litvinov. J f
Litvinov III - originally Chu,derin.
Litvinov IV - originally Louka.
Litvinov V - the area which was originally Rauschengrund.
Litvinov VI the Stalin Works housing development, also known as tal ky.
2. Nation and description of new and important installations in Litvinov as
/on the map F 25X
1. Stalinov - - the Stalin Works housing development, construction of which was
begun during the war, before 1945. The development now has a population of
6,000. After 19 5, mostly snail semi-detached houses for familita were built;
a number of large houses have, however, been put up, as well as 11 two-story
tenements used as hostels for single employees and known as T 20, which were
finished in 1953. In 1956, the "community`' house" on the south side of the
Litvinov - Horni Lox road, at the eastern end of 'Itbe development, was completed.
It is an 11-story building which is to house 1,600 people. 1
2. Concrete road running through the middle of Stalinovky built in 1949. The
development forms the northeast corner of Litvinov and extends about 14
kilometers as far as Horns Loa.
3. Electric railway - from Litvinov to Most, begun in 1950, in order to provide
better transport for workers to the Stalin Works and the neighboring pits.
The electric railway, which has a double tracks runs alongside the Most - Zaluzi -
Litvinov road on the east side.

4. New as halt road from the southern and of Zaluni to Litvinov. The old road from
Za uzi oaov is to be closed.
5. New road connecting the southern end of Litvinov I with Litviaov VI, half of which
was bui t during the war. It leads to a laundry (marked ZMA for
laundry - on the sketch)
6. District National Committee in a two-story building which has been modernized, on
what is known as the P`irst Square'.
7. Local National Committee in a single-story building about halt way along the north
side of the 'Second Square'.
8. District Milit Headquarters in a fairly old single-story building on the south side
of the road leading to SEa-novky (Litvinov VI), north of the cemetery.
9. District Head carters of the StB and VB in a new singleretory building on the
north s to StiMiFyUj-,about 100 meters west of the District Military
Headquarters.
0. Military training center for AA Defense in a camp of wooden huts now occupied by about
30 men carrying out reserve training AA defers. The camp is near Jatek, on the
old road to Horni Lom.
