1. 1) A small nova' gessel, type as a minesweeper was
lying slight.`~?9 the entrance to Kola bay on rn~west_
side; it a.ru?d.~i;1y functioned as a guard ship.
2) About 1 1/2 nautical mile further inside on the same side 25X1
there was one more guard ship, same type.
3) In a small bay across from the above-mentioned there were
9 naval vessels described as mine- 25X1
sweepers.
4) A total of 10 cruisers of the observed the
Kola Bay near the V-aen a Ba 25X1
n addition, one more cruiser
o the same size and arm- e but with a more rounded
stern.
5) There were 2 dQ_s rDyv s~ on the eastern
side behind an island (theSal island). Flush deck, two
stacks, three-legged mast, gunturret in front of the bridge
and behind the aftermost stack; torpedo tubes midship,
6) 25 MTB's were lying ashore on the w4stern and northern
side. of a peninsula (Mishuko Pt.).
Slightly south of this also on the western side there were
4 small submarines

2. 1) Emplacements were observed on the western side of the bay.
3 emplacements were seen. The guns themselves were not
seen, since they were covered by camouflage nets. They
were slightly WSW of Roster.
2) Various masts (radar, radio, and signal masts) were seen
along the bay; they were placed every 3/4 nautical mile on
the western side and every 1 nautical mile on the eastern
side.

One might imagine that the shipyard in o o.-ov
ficient capacity to build 4 cruisers. If this is the case,
they must almost have had to cease all other building activi-
ties. Since the building of cruisers in Leningrad as been
partly ceased, according to our knowledge, shipbuilding people
from the cruiser building may have been transferred from Lenin-
grad to Molotovsk.
