There ?.a a radar approximately 300 meters ao.u th of the

few houses in the vicinity of it.

height 12-l meters. There is a square object on top of
it. The mast is painted white on the side facing east.

were searched, drawers and closets were opened. Hatches were
taken off and the cargo searched.

The cruisers are all of the Swerdl v-class and have all been

Were are not able to comment on the submarine observation.
It is likely that
the two rusty submarines have been on a long cruise*
observed before.
Unfortunately the description of the upright object on the
submarine by the Bolshoi island in too deficient for evalua-
tion. It is possible that this is a SONAR installation which
has been observed previously.
We have previously received reports about installation at
Letinsky Point, but descriptions of this type has not been

by grass, behind Pinagori Pt. and Chelmpuske Bay. Compared
to the surrounding landscape, they were very obvious and
looked as if they were ceiling domes over underground con-

area ashore.
Control
2) The control in Murmansk itself was quite thorough this
time. The search of cabins and rooms took about 1 1/2
hour - both on arrival and departure.
