1. Extensions to Transformer Station
(a) About 120 m. northeast of the control tower on FINOW airfield
is a transformer station, the transformer being housed in a
building approximately 5m x 4m x 4.5m high.
(b) The transformer at present in use there for the needs of local
Soviet establishments has a capacity of 80 M.
(c) On the east side of the transformer station building a
temporary wooden extension has been erected in which a trans-
former of 315 kVA is installed for the needs of the Bau Union
Sud constructional activity.
(d) It is the intention to install a non transformer of 315 kVA
capacity for Soviet requirements, and for this reason a
permanent extension to the transformer station is to be built.
This extension is to be on the north side of the existing
building and will measure approximately 3m x 5m. The
temporary wooden extension will be dismantled and moved after
completion of Bau Union Sud constructional work; The permanent
extension to the building will be carri3d out by the building
firm WENDLAND of FINOW.
2. Road Construction
(a) The hard rolled sand road leading westward into the airfield
from the Biesenthaler Chauasee is to be concreted.
(b) Close to the southern edge of the existing road there is an
overhead medium tension power line. This line, in conjunction
with the concreting work, is to be placed underground.
(c) The approaches to FINOW airfield from the Biesonthaler Chaussee
are -guarded by East German industrial guards (Werkschutzane=
hdrigon). These guards are oldish men and their guard system
is not very efficient.

4. Hi'h Explosives Research Laboratory near FINOW
A research laboratory for hi;7h explosives is situated b :t:xeen
FINOW and FINOVFURT near the GLOSS-SCHIFFAHRTSKANAL. in the
ground belong in to the ROCHLING-Werka. The ;Thole area is
closed off and is girded by German Police.
