producing military end items or components of such items and on two military
research institutes. Three of the factories were in Sverdlovsk, four factories
and one research institute were in Leningrad, and one institute and one factory
were in Moscow. Some of this information dates from before 1950. One
attached annex gives a 0 sketch of an explosive rifle bullet produced
at Cartridge Factory #3 in Ulyanovsk.

Introduction
This report covers the names, locations and other data on 25X1
approximately 17 plants and institutes in the USSR. It is written in the style
of an order of battle report. Thirteen plants produced military end-items and
the two institutes were engaged in military research.
