"Vasil Aprilov" coeducational school. It is a two-story rectangular
stone building 60x15 in. in size.

49. Four-story workers' dispensary, which has an oval shape and is made
of brick.

52. Gabrovo transformer station, which transforms 20,000 volts of current
relayed from the transformer station in Gorna Oryakhovitsa into 3,000-
6,000 volts for the town of Gabrovo. The power produced by the
"Bedekt", "Malusha" and "Gramada" power stations is also transformed
and distributed by this transformer station.

the Livov (Konashki) bridge and has either an eight or a 12-cylinder
generator with a capacity of 3,000 kilowatts.

69. "Uspekh" Woolen Mill, which is a two-story structure 150x30 in. in
size. On the first floor is the spinning department and on the second
floor is the weaving department with 150 automatic looms. The mill
has also a carding department and employs altogether 700 workers
working in three shifts.
70. "Georgi Genev" Woolen Mill, which employs about 450 workers working
in three shifts.
71. "Petolichka" (Petiletka?) Woolen Mill. It consists of two buildings;
one building containing the weaving department has a chimney, is two
stories high, and 80x140 in. in size; the other building, contains the
carding and spinning departments. The mill employs about 500 workers
working in three shifts.
72. "Burya" Knitting Mill, which employs about 1450 people working in three
shifts.
73. Machine Building Combine, which consists of two buildings connected
by a bridge over the Yantra River. Casting, iron and lathe shops are
in the building on the western side of the river, while the fitting
and machine shops are in the building on the eastern side of the river.
The lathe shop has about 20 lathes. The combine manufactures various
machines, looms, and machine spare parts for various Gabrovo factories.

Old "Bratya Kunevi" Woolen Mill, which is a two story building about
30x80 in. in size and produces blankets and woolen goods.

,78-79. Old "Bratya Kalpazanovi" Woolen Mill. The factory building shown
at No. 78 on the sketch is one story high, about 50x3O in. in size, and
has a'glass roof. The building at No. 79 is two stories high and also
about 50 x 30 in. in size. The carding and spinning departments are in
No. 79.
80-81. "Vasil Kolarov" Cotton Mill (See Attachment No. 2), which consists
of a group of buildings constructed on a lot measuring 150 x 250 square
meters. The combing and spinning departments (probably No. 80 on the
sketch) employ 500 workers, mostly women, workinL- in three shifts. The
washing and weaving departments (probably No. 81 also employ about
500 workers, most of whom are women, working in three shifts. The
weaving department has 220 British and German automatic looms with an
electric motor attached to each. The mill produces 13,000 meters of
coarse calico, cambric, zephir, panama, and taffeta every 24 hours.
82. "Balkan" Cotton Mill, which employs 3,000 workers in three shifts.

85. "Dobri Kartalov" Knitting Mill, which is a two-story building 50 x 20
meters in size and manufactures knitted underwear and clothes of high
quality.

100x20 meters. The combing : machines are located on the first floor
and the looms on the second floor. The mill employs about 900 workers,
who live in workers' housing developments near the mill.
