Summary: This report contains information regarding six military installations in
Poland. It includes the pinpoint locations and related data of the fol-
lowing installations: an unidentified restricted area on the Miereja
Wislana Peninsula, a WOP installation and Radio Station in USTRONIE
MORSKIE, a Polish Border Guard (Wojska Ochrony Pogranicza-WOP) installa-
tion and Military Hospital and Sanitarium in ZAKOPANE, an unidentified
Internal Security Corps (Korpus Bezpieczenstwa Wewnetrznego-KBW) installa-
tion in TOMICE9 and a Summer Training Area in SUCHATOWKAO

1. Unidentified Restricted Area
This area was located on the Mierzeja Wislana Peninsula at coordinates
UTM DF-0129 (see Annex A for pinpoint location). It was approximately two kilo-
meters northeast of LYSICA. There were no visible barriers

artillery fire during the early morning hours.
2. Unidentified WOP Installation "A Radd?o Station
The Polish Border Guard (Wojska Ochrony Pogranicza-WOP) installation was
located in USTRONIE MORSKIE at coordinates UTM WA-487078 (see Annex B for pinpoint
location). The installation consisted of several pre-WW II villas
approximately 100 WOP personnel were stationed at this installa-
their mission was to patrol the coastline in that area.
A Radio Station, which consisted of two wooden buildings of unknown speci-
fications and one single pole antenna approximately 15 m high, was located at
coordinates UTM WA-496077.

There were no visible barriers around either of these installations.
3. Unidentified WOP Installation, Military Hospital and Sanitarium
The unidentified WOP installation was located on Ulica Krupowki in ZAKOPANE
(see Annex C for pinpoint location). It consisted of an old villa-type building,
15 x 15 x 15 in, two stories high, constructed of red brick with a gray stucco finish,
and a slanted tin roof. The building was surrounded by a wire mesh fence 2.5 m
high. The only entrance to the installation was located on Ulica Krupowkio
The unidentified Military. Hospital and Sanitarium was located on the

4. Unidentified KBW Installation
This installation was located in the village of TOMICE at coordinates UTM
CA-912289 on the county road between ZATOR and WADOWICE (see Annex D for pinpoint
location). troops of an unidentified Independent 25X1
Internal Security Corps Korpus Bezpieczenstwa Wewnetrznego-KBW) Battalion (Samo-
dzielny Batalion KBW) were billeted at this installation.
The installation consisted of one quadrangular-shaped,three-story building,
80 x 80 x 11 in, which was constructed of red brick with a gray stucco finish and a
slanted, gray slate roof. The entire installation was surrounded by a wire mesh
fence mounted on a concrete base. The over-all height of the fence was 2.5 in.

5. Summer Training Area of the 37th Artillery Brigade
This training area was located between the village of SUCHATOWKA and the
city of TORUN. this was a well known pre-WW II maneuver area for 25X1
the Polish Artillery. there were two unidentified artillery
divisions bivouaced in this area while he was there. The entire area was spotted
with single-story wooden barracks which housed all regular army personnel while
tents were utilized for the billetin of ROTC-and Reserve personnel who trained there
for periods frpm 30 to 90 days. this area contained several 25X1
artillery ranges. ( See Annex E for pinpoint location) ,
