report concerning MIG firing
practice observed between Graal and Mueritz from 11 to 18 August 1958.
Every day, but at varying times, MIG-15s and MIG-17s and, on 18 August,
at about 1500 hours, one MIG-19, carried out firing practice at varying
altitudes, but mainly very high. The target was towed by an IL 28. Both
the IL 28 and the fighters were equipped with reserve tanks.

approaching obliquely from the rear. The average burst of fire was
about 5 to 7 rounds. Neither take-off nor landing could be soon.
