2. Althoueh uraetically every language known to the world was taught in this school,
primary emphasis was placed on the following subjects: English, 25X1
French, Spanish (discontinued in 1954), Chinese, Teaching Methods, Psychology, and
Marxism-Leninism. The language courses consisted of five one-year terms, with a
two-month school vacation each year. In addition to learning the language, students
were required to study the history and geography of the country concerned, and the
culture and psychological behavior of the natives of the particular area.
