General headquarters of the Soviet antiaircraft rocket forces in Hungary is located on Debrecen airfield. Subordinate to these headquarters are the following three commands: 1. Kiskunfelegyhaza 2. Szekesfehervar 3. Papa b. The antiaircraft rocket bases in Hungary have been, or are being, constructed according to a plan which envisages three separate antiaircraft rocket defense lines. To date two of these have been completed; the third is still in the planning stage. c. The first defense line employs rockets reaching a maximum height of 13 to 14 kilometers. d. (2) Between Moragy and Vemend. (3) Between Kisujbanya and Pecsvarad. In this area the bases have not yet been completed. (4) Between Kadarkut, Szilvasszentmarton and Boszenfa. e. The sketches in attachment 1 show the locations of the bases in the areas mentioned in the preceding paragrpah. f. The second defense line employs rockets reaching a maximum height of 15-18 kilometers. This line is divided into two main sectors: Sector A The rocket bases in this sector are located in the following two areas: (1) East of Szentgal and Zsofia major (estate) and the area of Kadarta and Szentkiralyszabadja. (2) Immediately east of Sarmellek airfield; this area is in direct telephonic communication with Veszprem. Sector B The bases in this sector are located in the following three areas: (1) North of Bakonybel and Iharkut. This area, which is bordered on the north by a prohibited zone, is in direct telephonic communication with Szekesfehervar. (2) Between Urkut and Padrag. This area is bordered on the southyfest by a probibited zone. (3) Between Fertgszentmiklos and Vitnyed. This area is in the planning stage. g. The sketches in attachments 2 and 3 show the locations of the bases in the areas mentioned in the preceding paragraph. h. The planned third defense line will employ rockets reaching a maximum height of 20-22 kilometers. Rocket bases of this line will be constructed in the following areas: 1. South of a line between Hart a and Akaszto. 2. North of Miske and Csaszartoltes. 3, North of Keleshalom.
