Kee4ina Railroad stations It was said to be constructed in 1955. A single
story building with brick walls coated with oement and a gabled roof of
cement tileb, measuring 20 meter;: wide, 20 meters long, and 8 meters high.

2. A check point at the Kaegdng Railroad ;,tation manned by Kaeong Garrison
Police Affairs Department, North Korean People's Armjr (NKPA): A single story
brick building coated with cement with the uprer walls whitewashed, with a

9. A prim u7* school A two story brick building with a gabled roof of cement
tiles, the lover part of the walls was coated with cement and the upper part
of the walls was coated with lime, measuring 10 meter,, wide, 50 netorb long,
and 1.0 meters high, which was beliered to be built before 1950. The
number of the students was unknown.
10. Hae4ng Military Photo :hops An old two story buUding with wddtewabhed
walls and a gabled roof of cement tiles, measuring 10 meterb wide, 10
meters long, and 8 meters high, which was operated by the governient.
There were eight civilian photographers in the sbop. The shop was serving
for the military personnel in and around the city of Naesong.
11. National Department stores A three story brick building with a flat
concrete housetop, the walls of which were finished with yellow tiles,
measuring 12 meterib wide, 34 meters long, and 1.2 motors high, which was an
old building. This was the only department store in sae&ong.
12. Naadaamun (; outh Gate) I Thi b was one of the hi btorieal ranain? in 8asong,
but was bombed during the boresnn War. It was rehabilitated ,,onetime before
May 1956. It was an arch shaped wooden structure with mottled posta,
and a gabled roof of black tiles. The architraves of the gate were decorated
with wooden.dragons which were brilliantly illuminated by electric bulbs at
night. The peorle were coming and going under the gate.

to be built before 1945.

entire building seeded to have been utilized as offices. The department was
directly organic to the Ministry of National DefenLe. About 40 foot patrolmen
with the rank of non-commistt'ned officers were abbigaed to the department.
They wore th IWA soldiers' uniforms with armbandb in which three Korean
letters "14c" (patrol force)" were entered. The patrol activities were
taken in two man group day and night.
17. A guard post at the main gate, Kaeaydng Garrison Police Affairs Departments
The post was operated during a 24 hour basis. An armed guard was manned
on each shift,
18. Kaesping City Prosecutor's Office: A two story brick building with a sharp-
pointed roof of slater, the walls of which were f ni.hed with yellow tiles,
measuring 10 meters wide, 12 meterb long, and 10 meters high, which was an
old building.
19. Laborers' Apartment: A two story brick building with a gabled roof of oement
tiles, the walls of which were coated with caiiert, measuring 10 metara wide,
20 meters long, and 6 meters high, which was constructed in the summer of
1956. The apartment was large enough for keeping eight houbebold.. The
clerical workers belonging to an unspecified organization and the bohool
staffs and teachers o Foliti c ern &ozxs. ice College were living

measuring 12 meters wide, 50 peters longs, and 12 neter;. high, with a 500
man seating capacity, which was believed to be an old building9 to which
about 20 players belonged, usually probentod stage shows which cost 50-100
WOn for an admittance of a person. The films were alto shown once in a
while. The price of admittance for the movie was unknown.
23. Kaesong Girls' ,enior Middle School: A two story brick building with
a gabled roof of unknown materials painted in black color, the walla of
which were coated with oenent, measuring 10 meter: wide, 40 meters. long,
and 8 meter b ' igh, which was believed to be an old building.

traditional costume. But, they have been compelled to wear Korean clothes
consisting of white jacket and black skirt under the instruction of the 50X1 -HUM

25. Kaeqfng City Committee, Korean Labor Party: A gabled roof of black flat

26. Kaee$ng City People's Hospitals There were four two storied brick building.
Of which the largest measuring 12 meter: wide, 45 meters long, and 10 meters.
high, was, occupied by the director of the hospital, pheasaoy, and rooms
for inpatients. The rent three buildings, each measuring 3.0 meters wide,
10 meters long, and 8 meters, high, were occupied by such sections as
the throat treatment, internal medicine, dermatology, genaeooingy, and herb
doctor's treatment in addition to a laboratory. All four buildings which
were believed to be old buildings had besamentb respectively in which the
drugs and dead bodies were Laid to be kept. All walls of the tour buildings
were laid with granites and the roofs of which were flat concrete housetops.

housetop, the walls of which were finished with yellow tileL, neasuring 20
meters wide, 13 meters long, and 8 meters high, which was believed to be an
old building, was utilized by the youths of the city of Kaesong for dancing
and various nentingb held under the auspicet of Kae4ng City Chapter, Korean
Denocratio Youth League (KDYL).
27-b. KaesOng City Chapter, KDYLs A single story wooden structure with a gabled
roof of cement tiles and earthen walls, the lower part of which, about 1 meter
from the ground, was coated with cement while the rest part of which was
coated with lime, measuring 6 meters wide, 10 meters long, a nd 4 meters high.
28. Warehouse of Kaeong Textile 11actorys . The nmber of the story of this
warehouse was unknown. It was sized about 10 meters wide, 40 meters long,
and 10 meters high. It was built in olden timer with brick walls and plenty
of steel-barred windows. Kaefng Teoctile Factory used to store cotton
yarns and other equipment here. The warehouse was guarded by the factory
guard unit. The factory guards, were armed with Russian rifles.

with earthen wall., the bottom - approximately 1 meter from the ground - of
which Was mated with cement while the rest of which was whiteaaahed, and
a gabled roof of cement tiles, measuring 10 meters wide, 15 motors long,
and 3.5 meters high, which was built after the Korean Armistice and wmtime
before May 1956, where about 300 men were fed, was capable of feeding 100

30. Living quarters of the reserve oomnany (2nd Ca rang ~,
Kaegfng Guard Battalions A single story wooden structure with earthen
walls, the lower part of which - reaching a meter from the earth -- was
coated with oement and the rebt of which Was vhitewabhed, and a gabled
roof of slates, measuring 8 meters wide, 16 meters long, and 4 meters high,
ha-4 ng a 150 man acooommodation capacity, was built shortly after the
signing of Korean Armibtioe Agreement in July 1953. ?

The bile and structure of the building were the Lens as those of 30 above.
It was used for the living quarters for the members of two platoons of the
company and the offices of two platoons, Company Cosaaander, Political
Deputy Company Ccanander, Ocompany security Officer, and Company First
:.ergeant. Whenever one of the two companies (lbt and 2nd) of the Keesfng
Guard Battalion returned to RaeaOng from the P'anmunj n area to become a
reserve unit, it was stationed here.

granitic walls and a one-sided roof of flat stones, measuring 10 meters
wide, 12 meters long, and 8 meters high, was believed to be built before
1945.
33. A guard post manned by the 3rd Guard Compa!y, Kaegdng Guard Battalions
The guard was relieved every two tours. The mission of the pozt was to
guard the warehouse (34 above).
34. Warehouse, Rear Department, Kaeaang Guard Battalions A mingle story brick
building with one-aided roof of cac^ient tiles having no window., measuring
S meters wide, 15 meters long, and 3 zgaterb high, was believed to be an old
building. The northern corner of the building was used by a guard squad of
the 3rd Company, Kaesfng Guard Battalion, which was assigned to the
warehouse on a guard mission, as living, gaarterz. There were clothing
either new or old, toilet stuffs, rice, sneakers, leather boots, hlan2e tb,
mattarebbea, mu undtions for small arms and so forth in the warehouse.

A two story building with granitic walls and a concrete flat housetop,
measuring 10 meters wide, 13 meters long, and 8 meters high, wbioh v as

38. A single story wooden structure with earthen walls which were whitewashed
and a gabled root of flat atone tiles, measuring 5 meters wide, 14 meters
long, and 4 meters high, which was believed to be an old building. The
eastern half of the building was used as offices by the Political Deputy
Battalion Coamander, Kaek4ng Guard Battalion, a clerk belonged to the
Political Department, Kaes$ng guard Battalion, the Chairman of the KDYL
branch, and the Chairman of the Battalion Party Cosmittee, Kae&ng Guard
Battalion. The western half of the building was used by Kaeaong ;eourity
Division as its mess hall.
39. Headquarters, Kaegdng Guard Battalions A single story in square shape with
earthen walls which ware whitewashed and a gabled roof of Korean black tiles,
measuring 5 meters wide, 19 meters in total length, and 3.5 meters high,
which was owned by a rich man before 1945. The building was occupied by
such off l oe s as Battalion Ca:mnander' b Office, Rear Deputy Battalion
downander's Office, Duty Officer's Office, Office of the Chief of ;tuff,
and Classified Dec cuts Officer's Office.
40. A Ward Pbbt manned by the reserve company, KaeAing Ouard Battalion to
guard the headquarters of Kass Guard Battalion. An armed guard was on
duty on each shift relieving every tvo, hours.
41. Living quarters of the families of the NI 'A of?ioerb in the service of the
=Military Armistice Onmmission (MAC): There were about seven buildings.
Each of the was a single story building with b4ok walls coated with lime
above cement and a gabled roof of yellow clay tiler, measuring 6 meter:. wide,
12 meters long, and 3.5 motors high. A building was occupied by two house-
holds.. These were built in 1957. ;.me security officer. belonged to
Kaegdng Lecurity Division were also living here.
42. About ten buildings whose types were the same as those of 41 above score
in this area. These were occupied by the families of the officers working
for the AK MAC and of the local governmental officials.
43. Warehouse, Kae4ng Textile 1 ctorys An unknown story building with granitic
walls and a gabled roof of flat stone tile., measuring 10 meters wide, 14
meters long, and 10 meters high, which was an old building, where the cotton
yarns packed in straw bags were stored, was guarded by two armed civilian
guards belonged to the factory guard unit.

45. Gasoline Morehouse, NK MAC# A single story building with a gabled roof
of cement tiles, neastn'ing 8 meters wide, 10 meters long, and 4 meters
high, which was an old building. The lower part of the walla rerahing 350
? from the earth was laid with stones while the rest upper part of the
Walls was plastered with earth finished by lime. All vehioleb belonged
to the NK MAC were refueled here. About 20 drums of gasoline were seen
outside the buildin st all tines. An armed guard belonging to the 3rd
Guard Company!, Kaeq1ng Guard Battalion was manned here to watch the
storehouse on each shift. They varo relieved every two hours.
46. Water points A concrete water reservoir was made under the ground to supply
drft*ing water to the military organization in and around the city of
Kae ng. A guard was on duty at all tines.
47. A platoon command post, 3rd Guard Q=pany, Kaeiong Guard Battalions The

The first two houses: were built and owned by a rich man before the Korean
War but the third house was built by the Kae4ng Guard Regiment in 1954.
The abovenentioned three houses were surrounded by a fence laid With
stones. The houses were formerly occupied by the Kaev$ng Guard Regimeont 50X1 -HUM

projectors were owned by the club. Two movies were shown to the men of the
WK MAC each week heave. The aovies were separately town to the families
of the personnel of the NK MAC. the families of the personnel of the NK
MAC held various meetings in this club whenever repaired. It was more
beautifully decorated than the taeaing 1t ioipel Theat . i hansvar an
entertainment show group was on a tour of Aso ng citiy, it performed a
show at the Kaeong Municipal Theater and at this club for a few daps.
The representatives of the NNLC, personnel of the NK MAC, soldiers of the
subordinate orgw(sations belonged to the NK MAC, and members of the Raes9lfag
Guard Battalion were invited to see the performance in a few separate groups.
No one was required to bay an admission ticket on such occasion. The pewment
seaesed to be taken care of by the AK MAC.

coated with eeement and a zigzag roof of unknown materials, measuring 8
meter. wide, 50 meters is total length, and 6 meters high, which was
former juvenile prison, has been remodelled as a textile factory since about
1955. Although the ni ber of workers of the factory was unknown, the
majority of them consisted of females. The factory was bold to have been
manufacturing all sorts of cotton teztdles.
