After the signal of air attack (siren) the whole traffic had to stop. People mist HUM
~o to the next shelter. iwlitzia men and PVO guards ordered people in the nearest
basements, ?There they must stay until the end of the air attack.
In this PVO training besides the fighting troops took part also civil organizations
of DOSAF, hospitals, points of first add etc. niter the air attack had been declared
high activity of the troops could be noticed. iiilitary cars with soldiers, guns, tanks
moved in the all directions in the town outskirts.
The bigest shelter of the town is the shelter on the Naksirl Gorkiy Street nearby the

appartment houses on the waste land under the ground. it has two entrances, good
this shelter is equiped. It is said that this shelter has a very
large cappcity. Shelter jut out a little upon the ground. Has no fence. The door to
this shelter is closed, and it is open only during the hours of air attack.
