Barracks at ZITTA!
The garrison of the East GermanyArmy barracks at ZITTAU
had a strength in November 1959 of between
1,000 and 1,200 men, made up of:-
Anti-aircraft regiment - 1700 (approx.)
Artillery regiment
- 1300-1500 (approx.)
Bereitschaftspolizei
2. Accommodation is restricted owing to considerable over-
crowding, as the barracks was originally constructed to hold
